Celebrating 35 Years of Service

On June 21st, 1988, our first Foster Child was placed into the loving home of a couple in Everett, Ontario through the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto. Since then, we have had the privilege of partnering with hundreds of Foster Parents and caring for thousands of children, youth, and young adults across the province in collaboration with over 50 agencies. We enter this next year with a heart full of gratitude for all those who are and will forever be a part of our Bridgeway Family.

To our Foster Families past, present, and future –

You’re an inspiration. You’re the foundation on which Bridgeway is built and succeeds. The decision to open your hearts and your home to the most vulnerable young lives in our communities takes an immense amount of courage and compassion. Thank you for saying “Yes” and being the difference to a child/youth. Thank you for the care you provide from the ordinary day-to-day tasks to the above-and-beyond ways that you demonstrate acceptance, stability, and unconditional love. Thank you for persevering through the hard days and for placing your trust in our Bridgeway community. We learn from you and with you every step of the way.

To our staff, contracted support professionals, casual care providers, volunteers, and students –

You do so much more than provide services for our Foster Families. You go beyond the call of duty on countless days. You enrich and strengthen relationships. You become the safe, trusted, and caring support that exemplifies our mission, vision, and values. Thank you for your unwavering commitment.

To our agency partners –

The work you do is more challenging today than ever before. The decisions you make are difficult. Thank you for giving Bridgeway the opportunities to provide safety and care to Foster Children and Youth. The lives you entrust to us are received as an honour. We come alongside you and fulfill the greatest responsibilities possible. We acknowledge and appreciate all that you do for children, youth, and families in Ontario.
